Hitachi Server Systems
Hitachi offers two server systems called ComputeBlade and ComputeRack. As the names suggest, these are blade servers and rack servers. The blade servers consist of a blade chassis such as the BladeSymphony 2000, BladeSymphony 1000 or CB500, which can hold up to eight blade servers as plug-in modules. In addition, several chassis can be grouped together and configured via a management interface. Despite their high scalability, these systems are easy to operate. The ComputeRack server models are available in 1U or 2U configurations, each with two CPU sockets, and hardly differ from other rack server models from HPE or Dell. These server systems are mainly used in homogeneous data centre installations where server and storage systems from the same original equipment manufacturer are used.
